Getting started
From your first FXServer launch to a server you can manage.
You do not install txAdmin as a separate resource: it is already included with FXServer.
Your setup path
- Install and launch FXServer.
- Link your account and deploy your first server.
- Understand server recipes.
- Review your server configuration.
- Prepare your public Cfx Portal server listing for the 21 October 2026 metadata migration.
- Add your admin team.
What you need
A supported Windows or Linux host, access to its terminal or startup controls, a Cfx.re account, and a server registration key from the Cfx.re Portal. If your selected framework requires a database, have its connection details ready.
With managed game hosting, your provider may already supply FXServer, ports, and a txAdmin link. Follow that provider’s startup controls rather than installing a second copy.
Already have a working server?
Use the setup wizard’s existing-server path and select the correct server data folder and server.cfg. Back up that folder and your txData before making changes. Do not deploy a recipe over your working resources.
FiveM and RedM
Check that the server artifacts, game configuration, and recipe match the game you want to host. TXHOST_GAME_NAME limits the recipe choices; it does not turn a FiveM framework into a RedM framework.
