Your first server
Link your account, choose a deployment, and verify your first startup.
Link the owner account
Open the panel URL printed in the FXServer console. Enter the setup PIN shown there, then follow the Cfx.re account-linking flow. Use an account controlled by the server owner and keep any backup password private.
This creates the txAdmin master account. Later, add individual staff accounts in Admin Manager rather than sharing the owner login.
Choose how to set up
- A new server: select a recommended recipe that matches your game and intended framework.
- An existing server: select the existing server data directory and configuration file.
- A custom recipe: use a reviewed recipe URL and check its tasks before deployment.
Use an empty deployment directory for a new recipe. Recipe tasks can write files and execute database queries; inspect any database cleanup option before running one against a database with existing data.
Fill in the required values
Provide the local server name, Cfx.re server registration key, and any database details your recipe requires. Use the Cfx Portal to manage your server key. Do not paste it into chat or public support tickets.
Public listing metadata changes on 21 October 2026: Cfx is moving the public server name, description, language, tags and images to its Portal. An older recipe may still write those fields to server.cfg; that does not replace setting up your server listing in the Portal after the rollout.
Wait for deployment to finish. If a task fails, read that task’s error before restarting the entire deployment. See Recipe deployment problems.
Review and start
Read the generated server.cfg, confirm the network endpoints and resources, then start the server through txAdmin. Watch Live Console through the full startup. Resolve missing resources, invalid configuration, and database connection errors before inviting players.
Verify from outside the server
Connect using the game address or join link. The game typically uses port 30120, while txAdmin uses 40120 for its web panel. A working panel does not prove that the game’s TCP and UDP ports are reachable.
