Getting started

Install & launch

Start the txAdmin panel that comes with FXServer on Windows or Linux.

1. Get FXServer

Download a current recommended artifact using the links in the official Cfx.re server setup guide. Extract it to a dedicated folder with write permissions for the account running the process.

On managed hosting, use the provided startup action and txAdmin URL. Your provider may control the artifact version and port bindings.

2. Start without an exec argument

On Windows, launch FXServer.exe from the extracted artifact folder:

.\FXServer.exe

On Linux, launch the artifact’s run.sh from its folder:

./run.sh

Do not include +exec server.cfg when starting txAdmin. FXServer starts txAdmin automatically when that argument is absent. The panel will start and supervise the game server after setup.

3. Open the panel

Read the URL and setup PIN printed in the console. The default panel port is TCP 40120. On the same machine, the default address is http://localhost:40120. From another machine, use the host’s reachable address and configured port; your browser’s localhost refers to your own computer.

Keep the initial setup PIN private. Allow access to the panel only through the firewall or private access path you intend to use.

4. Continue in the browser

Link your Cfx.re account and set up your server. On first boot, txAdmin creates a txData directory for its account, configuration, database, and logs.

If the page does not load, follow Panel not reachable. To change ports, use the environment configuration guide.
