Versions & compatibility

Understand which txAdmin version the guides describe and how future releases change setup instructions.

These community guides target the stable txAdmin 8.1.1 source archived from the upstream master branch at commit 8a9a41410000fd92a527fe11bae2b8eeeb8b10e0 (snapshot collected 11 October 2026).

txAdmin is included with FXServer. Your installed artifact determines the actual available txAdmin features. You do not normally install txAdmin as a separate FiveM resource.

21 October 2026: public server listing metadata

Cfx announced a separate FiveM/RedM platform migration: server-list name, description, tags, language and images move from server.cfg to the Cfx Portal. This rollout is not tied to txAdmin v8. Review your Portal record and any backfilled information before 21 October 2026. See the server metadata migration guide and official Cfx announcement.

Important v8 host configuration migration

In the pinned stable v8.1.1 source, TXHOST_* environment variables are preferred for settings that take effect before FXServer starts. The old txAdminPort, txAdminInterface, and txDataPath ConVars are deprecated, not yet removed in that pinned documentation.

The upstream develop branch has since changed its host startup implementation and describes these legacy variables, plus serverProfile, as removed. Do not apply unreleased behavior to a stable server without checking the actual artifact.

For stable instructions, see Environment & ports. For details, see the pinned environment reference.

Checking your version

Use your txAdmin panel's version information or the FXServer boot output. Record the FXServer artifact version, txAdmin version, platform, and the precise error when requesting support. If your installed version behaves differently, compare its release notes before changing live configuration.
