Ban Templates
Create consistent ban reasons and durations with the right admin permission.
The Ban Templates page configures reusable reasons and durations shown as dropdown options while banning a player. It supports adding, editing, removing and reordering templates.
Add a template
- Open Ban Templates in the txAdmin panel.
- Write a specific reason based on an enforceable server rule.
- Choose a proportionate duration.
- Save and verify it appears in the player ban workflow.
- Review templates whenever your rules change.
Editing requires settings.write (shown as Settings: Change). Accounts without that permission may view the list but cannot change it. Actually banning a player still requires players.ban.
Avoid ambiguous defaults
- Prefer "Repeated harassment after warning" over "Bad behavior".
- Don't expose private staff information or player identifiers in reasons.
- Choose a duration that reflects your moderation policy, not the first dropdown item.
- Verify the affected player's persistent identity before submitting a ban.
Templates standardize operator input; they do not make moderation decisions or automate appeals.
