Install Qbox with txAdmin

Deploy a Qbox FiveM roleplay server using the maintained txAdmin recipe and verify its database and core resources.

Use Qbox's maintainer-provided recipe rather than an unreviewed archive or a copied, outdated deployment. A working txAdmin panel alone does not mean the Qbox framework is ready.

Preparation

  1. Install a compatible FXServer artifact, start txAdmin and link your Cfx.re account.
  2. Prepare the Cfx Portal license and a separate, empty MySQL/MariaDB database with the credentials required by the current recipe.
  3. Check the Qbox txAdmin recipe source, including task actions and current prerequisites.
  4. Back up any existing files before replacing resources. Use a new target deployment folder and test database.

Deploy Qbox

  1. Open txAdmin Server Deployer and select Qbox from the recommended FiveM recipes.
  2. If it is unavailable, use the maintainer's recipe URL, after reviewing its latest source and your artifact's compatibility.
  3. Enter the server name and Cfx license key; supply database connection information when prompted.
  4. Review tasks that download repositories, write configuration, or run SQL before confirming. Database deletion choices are especially important.
  5. Follow the progress task by task. A failed recipe does not mean its earlier file or SQL actions were rolled back.
  6. Verify the newly generated server.cfg, framework resources, and connection string without copying credentials into chat or issue reports.

Test the installation

  • Read the console for core/resource errors and database connection failures.
  • Check the expected framework startup order and required dependencies as described by Qbox.
  • Connect with a test player, create or load a character, disconnect and reconnect, and confirm persistence.
  • Record your artifact/recipe versions and take a known-good backup.

Frequent problems

ProblemFirst check
Deployment stops during GitHub downloadSource/ref, network and rate limits.
SQL import or database connection failsHostname from the server/container network, database privileges and credentials.
Character data fails to saveFramework/database logs and whether the recipe actually completed.
A QBCore resource fails after deploymentCheck the Qbox compatibility documentation instead of assuming identical APIs.

Compatibility: Official recipe listings describe Qbox as QBCore-resource compatible, but individual resources can still need changes. Validate third-party code before promoting your installation.
