Deploy RedM with txAdmin: RSG and VORP
Select RedM game mode, review RSG or VORP recipes, and validate framework and database compatibility.
RedM servers use FXServer and txAdmin, but FiveM resources and recipes are not automatically RedM compatible. Select the game before deployment, and check your desired framework's maintained instructions.
Create a RedM deployment
- Get a current server artifact and the license/setup details required by Cfx.
- Launch txAdmin with a new txData directory and choose RedM in the setup flow. Hosting platforms can use
TXHOST_GAME_NAME=redmto filter game recipes. - Allocate distinct game TCP/UDP and txAdmin panel TCP ports, according to the provider and your artifact.
- Use a separate server-data folder and empty test database for your framework.
- Select a RedM-compatible recipe, inspect its tasks, and deploy only after confirming the source and database effects.
- Test startup, an actual RedM client connection, player persistence and resource console errors.
RSG vs VORP
| Framework | Recipe guidance |
|---|---|
| RSG | Review the RSG txAdminRecipe repository and check whether your txAdmin recipe selector exposes it. A request to add RSG to popular recipes exists upstream; do not assume it is bundled in every txAdmin version. |
| VORP | Follow the VORP maintainer's current instructions. Do not import an unverified third-party recipe or assume it is in the official txAdmin recipe list. |
Never take a ready-made framework database export from an unknown source without inspecting the SQL and permissions. Run imports on a disposable database first.
Verify your result
- Logs show the correct
redmgame and required framework resources starting. - A RedM client reaches the server, creates/loads a character, and reconnects successfully.
- The database actually records the test character data.
- Staff logins and allowlisting are configured and tested separately.
For failed downloads or SQL tasks, see Recipe troubleshooting. For a reproducible deployment, pin exact artifact and recipe revisions after a verified test.
