Server operations
Server operations
Keep a running server observable, recoverable, and easy to maintain.
A successful first boot is the beginning. Build a repeatable routine for configuration changes, updates, backups, and staff access.
Environment & ports
Set panel ports, network interfaces, and data paths before startup.
Restarts & monitoring
Understand scheduled restarts, crash recovery, and performance charts.
Logs & console
Find the right log and preserve useful evidence.
Backups & updates
Keep the files and databases you need for a real recovery.
Discord integration
Connect the bot and publish a persistent server status embed.
Resources & configuration
Control resources and understand their dependencies.
Player Drops
Diagnose disconnect categories and resource kicks.
Diagnostics
Collect runtime and host evidence for a problem.
Advanced commands
Use diagnostic and maintenance commands carefully.
A simple operating routine
Before a live change, save the working configuration and check your backup. Apply the smallest change, watch the console through startup, and connect with a player client. Keep an entry describing what changed and how you verified it.
Do not use auto-restart as a substitute for fixing a resource crash or a database outage. Review the first error before each failure, not just the final restart message.
